Critical Judgment Projects:
Re-reading Monis v The Queen
This project adapts the approach of the seminal Feminist Judgment Project for the purpose of teaching critical legal thinking. It does this by rewriting the 2013 decision of the High Court in Monis v The Queen from 13 different critical perspectives, with each judgment being written by a notional seventh ‘judge’. Each judgment is accompanied by a commentary on the prominent thinkers in the critical discipline. The judgments have been published in a collection edited by Gabrielle Appleby and Rosalind Dixon, The Critical Judgments Project: Re-reading Monis v The Queen (Federation Press, 2016)
